Dr. Eric Blom graduated from Harvard University, and did his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious John Moran Eye Center. A multiple-time Best of Pueblo winner for best eye doctor, he has been rated the best cataract surgeon in Southern Colorado and the best glaucoma specialist in Southern Colorado. He has practiced in Pueblo for 20 years, first at Rocky Mountain Eye Center and now at Skyline Vision Clinic.
He has performed over 10,000 cataract operations and intraocular lens implants. He has implanted premium intraocular lens options from all major lens brands, including toric lenses, trifocal lenses, multifocal lenses, extended depth of focus lenses (also known as EDOF lenses).
Dr. Blom has performed over 5,000 glaucoma operations, including laser surgery for glaucoma and minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) procedures, which can be performed separately or at the time of cataract surgery. Dr. Blom can often combine MIGS procedures together for a higher chance of being free of glaucoma drops.
With seven years of aesthetics experience, Dr. Blom also performs functional and cosmetic upper and lower eyelid surgery, also called blepharoplasty.
